Eriko Nishimoto (西本会里子)

    Founder / CEO

    Eriko is the founder of Binnovative and CEO of Binnovative Boston. She oversees all aspects of business development from building collaborative relationships to ensuring successful events. Eriko holds an MBA from Babson College. Currently co-founder of E55, Inc, cambridge based technology start up. Eriko is originally from Kumamoto Japan, worked in Tokyo and moved to US(New York). She previously worked at a Japanese trading company in New York as IT project/operation manager ,Apple Japan etc. When she is not fearlessly leading the talented Binnovative team, Eriko enjoys Yoga and challenge her friends to badminton.

    ErikoはBinnovativeの創立者でありBinnovative BostonのCEOです。彼女はビジネスデベロップメントからイベントを成功させるべくステークホルダーを協力的な関係を築くことまで、あらゆる側面を包括的に見ています。Erikoはバブソン大学でMBAを取得しました。現在はケンブリッジに拠点を置くテクノロジースタートアップ、E 55, Incの共同創立者でもあります。Erikoは熊本出身で、東京で数年働いた後米国に移住しました。以前は日本の商社のニューヨーク拠点でITプロジェクト/オペレーションマネージャーとして、またApple Japan等で働いていました。優秀な才能を持つ人々が集まるBinnovativeのチームを率いるのが容易ではないと感じるときは、ヨガを楽しんだり、友達にバドミントンの勝負を挑んだりしています。


        Harish Kamath

        Founder / Business Development

        Harish is one of Binnovative’s founding members. He works on business development, by reaching out to sponsors, key influencers of Boston’s startup ecosystem, and universities. Born in India, Harish graduated from Mumbai University and holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Currently he is a Cambridge-based entrepreneur. His startup, Headtalk, is part of the Techstars Boston Fall 2014 class. He also co-founded E55, Inc. with Eriko Nishimoto. Harish is an ardent philatelist and will not let anyone touch his extensive collection of British colonial stamps.

            Shunta Muto (武藤駿太)

            Operation Lead

            Shunta serves as operations lead at Binnovative. He is currently a first-year student at Tufts University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Physics. He is works on Binnovative website maintenance. Shunta lived in Thailand for four years, Japan for eight years, and moved to Kentucky when he was 12. In his spare time, he likes to play guitar and baseball.


                John Hrovat

                Project Manager

                John Hrovat is a project manager at Binnovative. John is a software developer at Medical Information Technology (MEDITECH) with focus in EHR interoperability. John holds a bachelors in Japanese Language and Literature from UMASS Amherst, where he spent the last two years of college as an exchange student at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan. John continued his stay in Nagoya for several years working at Taira Promote as a translator in IT/Automotive/Machinery, software developer, and video and CG production. In his spare time, John enjoys cooking and video gaming.

                John Hrovat は Binnovativeでプロジェクトマネージャとして活躍しています。Medical Information Technology (MEDITECH)に勤務し、主にEHRの相互運用性に焦点を当ててソフトウェアの開発をしています。UMASS Amherstに修士課程として在学中、名古屋の南山大学で二年間、留学生として過ごしました。卒業後もJohnは名古屋に数年とどまり、タイラプロモートにて、IT/自動車/機械関連の翻訳、ソフトウェア開発、ビデオ・CGプロダクションに携わりました。余暇には料理やビデオゲームを楽しみます。

                    Yuta Okada (岡田雄太)

                    Operation Support

                    Yuta provides operations support at Binnovative. He is currently a first-year student at Tufts University majoring in Biochemistry. Yuta was raised in Tokyo, but moved to California in high school to attend Henry M. Gunn High School, where he started an international student association. Currently he is a member of Tufts Japanese Culture Club E-Board, where he manages community outreach. In his spare time, he likes to play baseball and look for good ramen restaurants.

                    YutaはBinnovativeでオペレーションを担当しています。彼は現在タフツ大学で生物化学を専攻する学生です。Yutaは東京で生まれ育ちましたが、高校生の時カリフォルニアに移り住み、Henry M. Gunn高校に進学しました。そこでインターナショナル学生の会を立ち上げました。現在はタフツ大学・日本文化クラブ E-Boardのメンバーで、コミュニティへの渉外を担当しています。野球をすることやおいしいラーメン屋さんを探すのが趣味です。

                        Kelvin Ha

                        Marketing Support

                        Kelvin Ha started a web-based boutique marketing studio “Spreat” at fifteen, helping partners including Unicef, Usher’s New Look, and MTV Show “The Burried Life” tell their stories to millennials like himself.
                        Graduated from Babson college in 2015, Now part of the Brand Strategy and Innovation division at Adobe, Kelvin uses creativity, data and research to support product brands in the Creative Cloud ecosystem, from Photoshop to mobile app Capture CC.
                        Kelvinは15歳の時マーケティングスタジオ「Spreat」を設立し、これまでにUnicef, Usher’s New Lock, MTV Show「The Burried Life」などを支援した経歴を持つ。

                        2015 年にバブソン大学を卒業し、現在は Adobeのブランド戦略・イノベーション部門に所属し、クリエイティビティー、データ分析、調査を生かしたPhotoshopやCapture CCなど自社製品のブランディングに携わる。

                            Delson Da Silva

                            Marketing Support

                            Delson serves as marketing support at Binnovative, by providing technical expertise. He currently works at Information Development America to develop software tools to create custom web applications. He is also a student at Bunker Hill Community College in engineering. Delson is looking forward to gaining international collaboration experience and to applying his strong background in IT. His hobbies include working on his motorcycle, coding projects, and hacking things. He is also a major Spiderman fan.


                                Kristie Le

                                Operation and Marketing Support

                                Kristie supports the operations and marketing team at Binnovative. Currently a rising senior at Tufts University majoring in Quantitative Economics and minoring in Japanese, she is in charge of modeling survey data of Binnovative events, as well as maintaining the blog and thinking up of marketing initiatives. She recently spent 5 months as an exchange student at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan. This summer at an internship with EF Education First, Kristie is tackling data and research to improve the quality of the College Break tours and contributing to strategic planning. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and dabbles in photography.

                                    Ryusuke Komura (小村隆祐)

                                    Ryusuke is a staff member of Binnovative. He planned events and helps craft the group’s vision. Ryusuke graduated from Doshisha University and the University of Manchester, also holds an MBA from Babson college. Ryusuke previously worked as an account executive at a major IT vendor in Japan. There he helped conduct a feasibility test between Tokyo and London during the London Olympic Games. Like most Japanese his hobby is work (although he also enjoys soccer).


                                        Dana Fager

                                        Staff Member

                                        Dana a staff member at Binnovative. She handled the group’s nonprofit application process, plans events, and manages relationships with the Boston community. With five previous study abroad experiences in Japan (including a Fulbright grant), Dana contributes excellent Japanese skills and cultural expertise. Currently working at the Consulate General of Japan in Boston, Dana enjoys serenading family and friends with classical melodies on her violin.

                                            Maiko is a staff member of Binnovative. She led the website project team and the NASA Hackathon 2015 mix team logistics team. She holds a MS in Engineering from Keio University and an MBA from Babson college, and working at Nomura Research Institute following graduation. She enjoys tennis, traveling, and cooking.

                                                Korina is a staff member at Binnovative. Korina is currently a graduate student at Harvard concentrating in Mathematics and Computation.


                                                    Daisuke Matsukura (松倉大祐)

                                                    Daisuke is a staff member at Binnovative. Currently he works at Information Development America as a recruiter. He is from Japan and previously worked in the Japanese post office for five years. At Binnovative, he contributes to producing media, including photos and video.

                                                        Tomo is a staff member at Binnovative. He holds a master’s degree in Informatics from Kyoto University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.


                                                            Kazunori Kawanobe (河野辺和典)

                                                            Kazu is a staff member at Binnovative. He helps organize events and manage projects. Kazu is currently an MBA student at Babson College, and he studied mechanical engineering as an undergraduate at Chiba University in Japan. He is a founder of a smart consumer products company.


                                                                Kiyoko Morita (森田喜代子)

                                                                ADVISORY BOARD

                                                                Kiyoko is a member of the Binnovative advisory board. Born in Hokkaido, she moved to the United States in 1968. Kiyoko is an accomplished Japanese language instructor. She has taught at Doshisha University, Indian University, Middlebury College, Harvard University, and Tufts University. In addition, she served as an adjunct lecturer in Education at Tufts University. She is also a student of the Shinto School of Incense and has been active in introducing the art of traditional Japanese incense to the United States. She is the author of “The Book of Incense” published by Kodansha International. Finally, she is Vice President of the Massachusetts Hokkaido Association. In her rare spare time, Kiyoko enjoys bike riding with her husband.

                                                                北海道で生まれ育ったKiyokoは、1968年にアメリカへ渡りました。これまで同志社大学、インディアナ大学、ハーバード大学、ミドルバリー大学、タフツ大学など数多くの大学で日本語教師として教鞭をとっており、タフツ大学では教育学部でも教えた経験があります。また、過去30年以上にわたり米国において香木の普及にも取り組んでいて、2007年には香木についての著書、“The Book of Incense”(Kodansha USA)を執筆しています。その他に、北海道出身であるKiyokoは、現在マサチューセッツ・北海道協会の副会長も務めています。たまの休日には、趣味であるサイクリングを楽しみます。

                                                                    Christopher E. Carr

                                                                    Advisory Board

                                                                    Christopher E. Carr is a Research Scientist in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at MIT and a Research Fellow in the Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Molecular Biology. After completing dual S.B. degrees in Aero/Astro and Electrical Engineering from MIT, Dr. Carr worked on the Mars Sample Return mission at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. As an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, Dr. Carr applied bioengineering principles to human adaptation to space, the bioenergetics of movement, and improved space-suit design. He currently serves as the Science PI for the SETG Life Detection Instrument, also relevant to astronaut health, space biotechnology, and field research. He is broadly interested in searching for and expanding the presence of life beyond Earth. As a future US-Japan Leadership Program ( program delegate, Dr. Carr is interested in promoting joint US-Japan collaboration in areas such as space exploration, biotechnology, automation, and technology innovation. Dr. Carr will advise Binnovative’s work in hosting the Cambridge branch of the annual NASA International Space Apps Challenge including building on prior successes with joint US-Japanese teams.

                                                                    クリストファー・カー氏は現在マサチューセッツ工科大学宇宙・惑星学科及びマサチューセッツ総合病院分子生物科で研究員を務めています。マサチューセッツ工科大学で航空宇宙・電子工学学士取得後、ジェット推進研究所で火星探査のプロジェクトに携わりました。また、アメリカ国立科学財団のリサーチ・フェローとして生物工学を応用した宇宙における人類の活動の可能性、生物におけるエネルギー論を研究し、既存の宇宙服の改良にも携わった経験があります。現在はSETG Life Detection Instruments研究チームを率いるなど、主に地球外生物についての研究に携わっています。また、US-Japan Leadership Program(の大使として、宇宙開発、バイオテクノロジー、次世代テクノロジー開発などにおける日米間での協力に非常に興味を持っており、毎年開かれるNASA International Space Apps Challenge Bostonでは、主催者であるBinnovativeのアドバイザリー・補佐を担当しています。
